Looks like India is brimming with fake / scam projects and ICOs. Meet the Obizcoin, which is currently doing a pre-ICO to scam and take money of innocent people. This cryptocurrency scam is being carried out by an Indian duo who live in Pune, a city in India. Rupal Agarwal, listed as the founder has never done a single blockchain related work in her life and same can be said about the second founder, Varun Shah, who completed his education in 2010. He has no experience in computers.
It seems that NEM has joined hands with a project called LoyalCoin which is based in Philippines. LoyalCoin is a project that will be replacing existing loyalty program, point service in Japan with blockchain technology. Dr Julian, Co-founder of TenX has confirmed that his company has indeed signed a partnership with the Wirecard to issue credit cards. While TenX is yet to make a public announcement about it, Dr Julian has confirmed in a reddit thread stating that this partnership will allow them to get the cards available worldwide. However, they do not have a concrete timeline regarding this. TenX is expected to make an announcement about this soon.
OmiseGo has released a roadmap for 2017 / 2018 year that shows various features and enhancements that will be to OMG users. In Q4 2017, first wallet SDK prototype will be released for workshop testing and development. This is followed by release of wallet SDK public release in Q1 2018. After that, public blockchain will be released to the OMG users which will make staking possible. Then in Q3 2018, cash in/out touchpoint interface with payment gateway will be released.
Kyber Network has announced its partnership with three companies, WAX (worldwide asset exchange), OPSkins and Enigma. OmiseGo is the most successful Ethereum ICO till date. Today, the company has released code for the airdrop that successfully completed on September 24th 2017. OmiseGo team says that it did total of 5242 transactions to send more than 7 million OMG tokens to whopping 460,000 Ethereum holders that qualified for the airdrop. Mike Cagney, SoFi’s CEO backed Ethereum over bitcoin as it offers better infrastructure applications. He said that if the dollar did not exist then bitcoin would have been fine but since the value of bitcoin fluctuates so much, it makes it nearly impossible to be used as a currency. While bitcoin is the original blockchain and has the maximum share of attention, it is not a very practical one, Mike added.
