OmiseGo is the most successful Ethereum ICO till date. Today, the company has released code for the airdrop that successfully completed on September 24^th 2017. OmiseGo team says that it did total of 5242 transactions to send more than 7 million OMG tokens to whopping 460,000 Ethereum holders that qualified for the airdrop. Since then, there have been myriad requests to release the code to the public. OmiseGo team has listened to its community and shared the code with the public. They feel that the airdop code will be useful for the Ethereum community so that other Ethereum-based tokens can do a similar airdop for their crypto currency.

Kyber Network has announced on their official block that they have successfully burnt nearly 10.3 million KNC tokens. These were sent to unspendable address that no one controls. Total KNC coin supply was 226,000,000 and after burning of tokens, it has been reduced to 215,625,348.

Mike Cagney, SoFi’s CEO backed Ethereum over bitcoin as it offers better infrastructure applications. He said that if the dollar did not exist then bitcoin would have been fine but since the value of bitcoin fluctuates so much, it makes it nearly impossible to be used as a currency. While bitcoin is the original blockchain and has the maximum share of attention, it is not a very practical one, Mike added.

ETC has been maintained as original ethereum blockchain without any changes to its history of transactions. Solidity, a popular contract oriented programming language has just received an update. It includes bugfixes that fixes many trivial yet annoying bugs that popped up on 0.4.12 version. The developers have also depreciated some old features in order to prepare for 0.5.0. The most notable is the remove of throw() and some people on twitter said that were emotional about its removal – in a good way, of course.

Vitalik recently defended Ethereum on bitcoin’s reddit page where the CTO of blockstream said that the long term value of Ethereum is still around zero. The thread was brimming with hateredness from both bitcoin and ethereum fans but when Vitalik Buterin stepped in, everyone was surprised.
