KuCoin Adds USDT pairs for Litecoin, Ethereum Classsic, OCN and TEL

The fast growing cryptocurrency exchange, KuCoin has added USDT pairs for Litecoin, Ethereum Classic, TEL and OCN. USDT stands for US Dollar Tether. Tether is 1 to 1 with USD and since it is an Alt coin you do not have to pay capital gains yet since technically you did not trade an asset into US currency. Having a USDT pair allows the user to keep everything in terms of United States dollars. Some do not like keeping their trading capital in Bitcoin. They do not see trading against BTC as the goal and think that think that since everything in real life is fully tied up to the fiat system, it is better to trade against USDT.

Tron TRX team caught copying pasting codes from Ethereum Github

Earlier, the Tron TRX team was caught for plagiarizing white paper and today, they were caught again with copying and pasting codes. They even forgot to credit anyone and then tried to hide it but got caught to hide it. The TRON runs on Ethereum blockchain and simply copied code from ethereum’s official github to their github without crediting the original project. The Tron team has deleted the link to the copied file but here is the original ethereum file link.

Cryptopia halts trading due to server overload

Popular cryptocurrency exchange, Cryptopia is facing myriad complaints after suspending trading activity due to server overload. The exchange, which is based on New Zealand suspended trading in two of its base markets, DOGE and LTC as its servers were unable to handle number of trades occurring. The exchange hit 500,000 users on 1st of December 2017 and by 31st December, it had hit 1,000,000 users. Registrations on Cryptopia have been paused to upgrade the resources to handle such massive traffic. The company had mere 30,000 users an year back.

Viacoin TOR servers are live: VialectrumX TOR servers add privacy to Viacoin transactions

Viacoin has added pair of Viacoin TOR servers for the Viaelecrum 3.x release. This service runs only on dedicated virtual machine and accessible only using TOR service. So you would not be able to access it on the clearnet. The VialectrumX servers do not log IP addresses or detailed session data, giving that extra bit of privacy. These servers are not visible if you are not running TOR.

TenX cards are dead: PAY price tanking

Wavecrest, the issuer of TenX card has sent emails to TenX users that their cards are no longer useable. This also affects other companies that use Wavecrest service and that includes Wirex, Bitpay and Crypopay. TenX is a Visa Prepaid card and starting today, it will no longer function. However, the funds stored in the e-wallet will remain accessible as they are handled by the wallet provider. This caused a lot of panic in the already depressing price of the TenX’s token, PAY which runs on Ethereum blockchain.
