Mobi Wallet Adds Litecoin support, uses Lites as unit

Popular crypto currency wallet, Mobi Wallet, has added support for Litecoin. Surprisingly, this new version makes use of Litecoin’s new unit, Lites as default where 1 Litecoin equals 1000 Lites. Other than Litecoin, Mobi supports more than 100 crypto and fiat currencies including USD and Euro. Mobi wallet is available for both iOS and android phones for free. You can use the wallet for sending and receiving payments. However, keep in mind that the private keys are not made available to the user – just like coinbase.

Lightning network deployed on Litecoin mainnet

Charlie Lee, who is the founder of litecoin has announced on his twitter account that he is testing lightning network on the mainnet. Bitcoin has already locked in segwit. You can now expect announcement of atomic swaps between litecoin and bitcoin anytime soon. This pumped the litecoin’s value to $55 for few minutes but it later came to 50 dollar.

Coinhako to add Litecoin support to exchange

Coinhako is a popular crypto currency exchange in Malaysia and Singapore. Currently, it offers trading in bitcoin and ethereum but there will soon be a new member. If the words from the famous, Charlie Lee are to be believed, the exchange will soon be adding support for Litecoin so you will be able to buy Litecoin using fiat currency. He said this after tweeting Coinhako to add litecoin on their platform.

Litecoin Poloniex Wallet Disabled

Litecoin wallet has been disabled on the popular crypto currency stock exchange, Poloniex. This is the message that has been posted on Poloniex website.

LTC is currently under maintenance or experiencing wallet/network issues. Deposits and withdrawals will remain disabled until a solution is found, which may require an update from the LTC team. Any updates must be tested and audited before enabling.
