If you are doing a lot of withdraw on Bittrex, you may come across this error “Basic account withdraw limit has been reached. Please try again in 24 hours. To increase your limits, please verify your account to the Enhanced level”. Let us explain why this error occurs. If you sign up on bittrex, you can get basic verification done by submit their name, address, and birth date. This is generally done instantly. Bittrex verify this through public records. If bittrex can verify you through public records, bittrex will accept your application for a basic account.  If that fails as well, bittrex will need to proceed to an enhanced verification.

Bitcoin is often criticized for being slow and lethargic. These days it takes upwards of 4 hours to receive funds, especially if you go for lower transaction fees, which too are in range of $5 or more. If you choose to deliver funds faster, which is still around 30 minutes or so, you will have to pay hefty $10 or higher. This is because of tough competition from Bitcoin Cash which sometimes becomes more profitable to mine than Bitcoin. BTC Lite, unlike bitcoin, runs on Ethereum blockchain which is much more efficient.

The names of Bitfinex and Tether founders, Giancarlo Devasini and Philip Potter in Paradise papers may come as surprise to many. This massive leak has list of 120,000 companies and people who have taken services of offshore service providers operating in tax havens. These Paradise papers say that Appleby helped Philip Potter and Giancarlo Devasini in setting up Tether in British Virgin Island back in 2014. This leak is the world’s second bigger data leak which is shadowed only by Panama Papers leak that happened in 2016.

China has made Bitcoin mining illegal and is sending notices to Bitcoin mining farms. The notice says Sichuan Electric power company will soon stop supplying power to the Bitcoin mining farms. In the notice, they say that a lot of power is consumed by the mining machines. The report comes from caijing, a Chinese portal to which one Bitcoin miner commented that the bitcoin mining was being done using discarded water that is let go without producing electricity. This is the chief reason why the price of electricity is so low.

Bittrex which is one of the biggest cryptocurrency exchanges in the world has made it official that it will be supporting the Segwit2x (B2X) coins. So if you have bitcoin on bittrex during the Segwit2x hard fork block 494784 in mid-November, you will be getting equivalent amount of coins in 1:1 basis. For instance, if you have 1 btc, you get one B2X coin. Deposits and withdrawals will be disabled 24 hours prior to Segwit2x fork. All incoming withdrawals will not be credited and bitcoin wallet will remain closed until hard fork has completed. You will still be able to trade.

India is on the verge of imposing a Chinese-style crypto currency ban for bitcoins and altcoins. Bitcoin, which is around 0.49 million rupees in India is growing in popularity at an amazing rate and being used for terrorist activities and black money, as said in this article by economic times. This ban will directly affect bitcoin dealers like unocoin, bitxoxo, zebpay and so on. It is not clear whether the ban will affect crypto currency exchanges or not but it looks like it will.

Coinbase, the most popular bitcoin exchange in USA has issued a statement about the upcoming bitcoin forks, Segwit2x (Bitcoin2x) and Bitcoin Gold (BTG). Segwit2x fork date is November 16^th 2017 while the Bitcoin Gold fork occurred on October 23^rd 2017. Due to lack of information about Bitcoin Gold, Coinbase has decided not to support it so you won’t get free BTG for your bitcoins. However, you will get free Bitcoin2x coins for the upcoming Segwit2x fork.
