A new crypto currency by the name of BFX coin has popped up recently and is slowly getting a lot of traction. It is yet another scam coin by a small company in India that claims to do this and that but in reality offers nothing. Just like ATC coin that took money of many people who wanted to get-rich-quick, the BFX coin wants to do the same. The company is operating from Delhi, India while it has its headquarters stated elsewhere – just the ATC Coin, another scam crypto coin whose owner was recently caught by Indian police.

The IGNIS ICO completed on November 4^th 2017. This makes the IGNIS first ICO to make use of NXT as base. MalwareBytes has added BitConnect website to the list of its blocked sites. One of the users enquired about this on Malwarebytes’ website thinking it could be a false positive but the staff member immediately responded by saying “fortunately, this is not a fp (fake positive)”, implying that the BitConnect’s website is indeed harmful for the users. Bitconnect crypto coin has been getting a lot of heat lately. Bitconnect has been deemed as Ponzi scheme. It promises its users 500 percent return in cash. In addition, users also get guaranteed profit of over 90 percent. The team promises users there is no risk of loss which raised quite a few eye brows.

PivX has released final, stable version of the v3 wallet that irons out zPiv and blockchain related bugs. It also includes numerous fixes over previous releases. Before doing the update, make sure to backup the wallet.dat file and copy it someone. If you use CLI/Linux, you can backup using the command ./pivx-cli backupwallet.

Official Qtum mobile wallet application has been released. This makes Qtum the world’s first smart-contract capable mobile wallet. This means you will be able to make smart contracts on the move. Of course, you will be able to send and receive Qtum – just like other crypto currency wallets. It makes use of the iPhone’s touch ID feature to keep the funds secure and also allows faster access. It is much faster to swipe your thumb than enter the PIN.

Hardware wallet support is extremely important for the growth and security of users. It brings a new flux of users that usually buy crypto currencies that can be stored on their hardware wallets. Ledger and Trezor are two big names in industry for hardware wallets. Ledger Nano S features an OLED display that lets you the currency in use. If you are wondering why the price of Qtum got a massive pump, the reason is Bitthumb, Korea’s number 1 crypto currency exchange that is on verge of listing it on its exchange. Ledger Nano S and Ledger Blue now support three more crypto currencies that include PivX, Vertcoin and Viacoin. Both PivX and Vertcoin communities were actively involved in getting the proposal through. This has been an exciting week for all three cryptocurrencies, especially PivX that not only got Ledger integration but also got Zerocoin protocol activated and become most widely translated crypto coin as well.

Bittrex is one of the most popular crypto currency exchanges and lately got into a lot of heat for banning and disabling accounts on a lot of users. Bittrex has issued an official report on this saying that the cryptocurrency exchange often does compliance reviews to protect their service and prevent their users from harm. In this review, they temporarily suspend / disable / ban certain accounts. The total number of accounts were not revealed but less than 0.1 percent were affected.
