OneKey Classic 1S Review: Best Self-Custody Wallet of 2026
I have been involved in crypto since December 2016 and have used most popular cryptocurrency hardware and software wallets. From Ledger and Trezor hardware wallets to software wallets like Toshi before it was taken over by Coinbase, I have gathered enough experience and expertise to judge whether a wallet is good or bad. I recently had the chance to try out the OneKey Classic 1S, and I was pleasantly surprised by the features it offers at its $100 price point.
There are three versions available: Classic 1S, Classic 1S Pure, and Classic 1S Pure BTC-only. The Classic 1S comes with a built-in battery, the Pure is battery-free, and the Pure BTC-only version is battery-free and supports only the Bitcoin blockchain. The battery-powered version costs $99, while the other two are priced at $79.

The OneKey Classic 1S stands out because of its slim design, open-source firmware, and surprisingly polished user experience. Unlike many hardware wallets that feel clunky or outdated — case in point, the Ledger Nano and Trezor — the 1S feels modern, with an intuitive user interface and an easy setup process.
All major blockchains are supported, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, Polygon, and many EVM-compatible chains like base and polygon.
Since the $99 model comes with a built-in battery, I don’t need to carry a USB-C cable to connect it to my phone, although I like having the option to do so. The OLED screen looks great, and navigation is super intuitive thanks to the four simple physical buttons. It low-key reminds me of the iPod Nano, which was widely praised for its easy-to-use interface.
I also like the fact that the firmware is open source. It uses an EAL 6+ secure element chip that stores all private keys offline, meaning they never touch the internet.
In a world full of phishing attacks and online threats, investing in a good hardware wallet is extremely important. I found the OneKey Classic 1S to offer excellent value for money, and I especially loved its lightweight portable design and open-source transparency. I loved using it, and I’m sure you will too.
