Ripple XRP has been added to BitPay wallet
Popular cryptocurrency wallet, BitPay has added support for Ripple’s XRP token. This means you will now be able to buy gift cards directly with XRP coin. This includes gift card for popular ecommerce website, Amazon.
BitPay is also number 1 merchant processor in the world for cryptocurrencies and while not many use BitPay for buying gift cards, it is still a great news for the Ripple‘s XRP holders.
This is my son use using @BitPay to pay for lunch at a restaurant. It’s super easy and convenient, particularly for kids, IMO.$XRP #XRPTheStandard https://t.co/p9g3u5HsNa https://t.co/9nhGT0B0L5

It is important for you to be running v8.2.2 of the BitPay app to enable XRP support so make sure you update to the latest version. Updated iOS variant is already out on appstore but Google has not made the updated version available for download.

XRP is not available in all countries though. For instance, XRP is not available in Japan. Same goes for Netherlands – just Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash and Ethereum are available.
