Bittrex lists Tezos – XTZ finally makes it to Bittrex
Bittrex was a cryptocurrency exchange that used to forefront the crypto revolution. Now, Bittrex lags behind other popular exchanges like Binance, OkEx and Huobi. Starting today, December 17th 2019, you will be able to trade Tezos coin on the exchange with following pairs – XTZ-BTC, XTZ-ETH, XTZ-USDT and XTZ-USD.
However, unlike other exchanges that let you stake XTZ to earn interest while it is on the exchange, Bittrex has not confirmed if it support stake Tezos.
This means if you want to earn rewards, you must either move to other exchange or use your own wallet to get rewards, which is something that we recommend. Remember, not your keys, not your coins.
It is interesting to note that Bittrex is the last cryptocurrency exchange to list a major cap coin like Tezos. All big exchanges have offered Tezos trading from many months now.
Bittrex requires mandatory KYC / AML (know your customer) which means you must verify yourself in order to trade or make withdrawals. So keep that in mind before you transfer your funds over to Bittrex to buy Tezos or other coins.
