OmiseGo added to Coinbase Custody Service
OmiseGO, an Ethereum ERC20 token, is now a supported cryptocurrency asset on the Coinbase’s Custody website, which is a digital asset custody for Institutional investors. Coinbase Custody is a partner of ETC, which is a SEC-registered broker and FINRA member. Its clients include big institutions, hedge funds, ICOs and cryptocurrency exchanges, including WaldenBridge capital, Polychain capital, Autonomous Partners and Multicoin Capital.
While this news did absolutely nothing to its price, it is a start as more people will notice OmiseGO now. Right now, supported assets in Coinbase Custody are Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Ethereum, Litecoin, Ethereum Classic, 0x (ZRX), Basic Attention Token, OmiseGO and Ripple. Cryptocurrency Ripple was added to Coinbase Custody last month.
OmiseGO is not in line for the blue Coinbase app but since the exchange has added it to the Coinbase Custody, you never know. Previously, people thought that OmiseGo has not been selected for Coinbase custody because Coinbase custody is ONLY for storing your coins, not for trading or anything of that nature.
However, adding OmiseGO to blue Coinbase app could be a whole lot easier for the Coinbase since two ERC20 tokens, BAT and ZRX are already added and adding another Ethereum’s ERC20 token like OMG would not take much time.
