BarterDEX Decentralized Exchange adds 66 new Ethereum ERC20 tokens
BarterDEX is a decentralized cryptocurrency exchange that supports atomic swaps. The exchange now supports ERC20 tokens and more than 66 of these were added today. Over the past few years, there have a massive growth in number of cryptocurrency exchanges but most of them are centralized. While the centralized exchanges appear more convenient to users for buying/selling cryptocurrencies, the coins stored on the exchanges are fully under control of the exchange and not you.
BarterDEX was launched back in June 2017 and has come a long way, both in terms of UI and development.
BarterDEX can have a positive effect on the price of Komodo, which is set out to build a decentralised currency ecosystem, of which BarterDEX is a central part, as is assetchain, as is KMD. KMD is used to incentivise notary nodes and other elements of the assetchain ecosystem, and is the currency on the dPoW “main chain”, which will eventually host many currencies.
So there’s a close but nonessential link to assetchain, and any assetchain coin will be inherently tradeable on BarterDEX, but BarterDEX has no dependency on KMD. However, you will need Komodo for doing zero conf atomic swaps.
